Hi, my name is Roseline Day.  A proud Meriam raised on Mer, I come from the Komet tribe, with strong blood ties to the Zagareb, Dauareb & Meriam Samsep tribes through my parents. Along with my siblings, I also acknowledge and respect our strong blood connection to the Kulkalgal nation on my mother’s side.

I am currently living in Mer, working in the Community Services department of the Local Government, Torres Strait Island Regional Council. As the Divisional Manager, my role with TSIRC is to manage the administration team and oversee the daily administration operations of the TSIRC Division 15 Mer office. I work closely with other internal TSIRC departments based on ground, as well as the key stakeholders in and around the Community to make sure we meet the needs of our people and provide the best delivery of our services.

 

I am equipped with almost 16 years’ experience in administrative and customer service roles as I am very passionate about helping my people in any way shape or form, not only on Mer, but throughout Torres Strait.
